In the engineering department, within the Off-Highway Truck (OHT) department, we are looking for a mechanical engineer in charge of developing the mechanical braking system.

Missions:

  • Sizing, design, development and integration of the mechanical braking system (wet-disc brakes) and its related systems (cooling, actuation…)
  • Consider the interactions between braking system and drive systems for all driving situations
  • Consider also the normative and functional safety requirements, cost, reliability
  • Write technical specifications for systems and components, write engineering guidelines
  • Write functional specifications
  • Establish single-line diagrams
  • Participate to the development of new systems and/or components in collaboration with our suppliers and our internal/external development partners
  • CAD design of parts and complete build groups of the machine, integrate new components in collaboration with other engineering groups across multiple factories, release CAD parts and bill of materials
  • Establish test requests and participate to the tests and the validation of the components and the systems

Profile:

  • Mechanical engineer with 3-5 years of experience in designing mechanical components/systems
  • Knowledge in mechanical design, hydraulics, thermal calculations
  • Knowledge in multi-physic systems simulation (MATLAB Simulink)
  • Experience with PTC Creo
  • International experience USA, AUS, German speaking countries
  • Fluent in English, good knowledge in German
